{Poem} We are Made of Rhythm, Too

The world is made of Rhythm.

Nature flows with rhythms -
In and out,
Open and close,
Big and small,
Slow and fast,
Warm and cold,
Loud and soft,
Light and dark,
Rest and awake,
Play and work.

You are made of rhythm too.

The same rhythms that flow through nature, flow through you.

Your first rhythm
was the rhythm of light -
Pure Sacred Light.

This is how you began.

Your Heavenly Parents created your spirit,
and added the rhythm of your spirit
to the rhythm of your light.

When it was time,
the rhythm of your body
was miraculously created.
It was added to the rhythm of your spirit
and the rhythm of your light.

Your body is made of
And moves with
rhythm.
Your heart beats,
your blood pulses,
your eyes blink,
your breath flows
in and out.
You laugh
and dance
and sing

and cry.

As a womyn (Wombyn),
your life is made of rhythm.

In the beginning,
you flow only with the Sun
and the Moon -
with the light of the day
and the dark of the night.

Then you receive
the rhythm of
Your First Sacred Cycle -
Your First Sacred Blood.

It comes from the rhythm of your Womb -
your space from which flows
the rhythms of
Creativity,
Growth,
Connection,
Feeling,
Nurturing,
Release,
New Life.

The rhythm of your Sacred Cycle
helps you feel when it is time to
Create,
Work,
Play,
Lead,
Organize,
Be still,
Rest.

In the beginning of your Sacred Blood Cycle,
you may feel a rhythm like an
Inner Spring -
Your energy slowly growing,
full of fresh ideas,
excited to do new things.

The next rhythm you might feel is like an
Inner Summer -
Your energy high,
your body strong,
feeling outward and open,
ready to play.

As your Sacred Cycle
flows through your body,
you may start to feel a rhythm like an
Inner Fall -
Energy waning and waxing,
preparing and focusing,
solo and softer.

The final rhythm is the Release
Of your sacred blood.
Your Inner Winter.
This can be a time of
Shedding and Cleansing,
Rest and Reflection,
Calm and Quiet.

At times,
the rhythm of your Sacred Blood Cycle may
Change
or feel
Different.

When the time is right,
you may decide
to use your sacred womb space
to create New Life.

The sacred rhythms of Motherhood
(Of Creator-and-Nurturer-hood)
Will ebb and flow,
expand and contract,
Play in the Light,
Wrestle in the Shadow

When the time is right,
your body will begin the rhythm of its
Sacred Transition.

You will begin to
flow out of the rhythm of your
Sacred Blood Cycle,
and into the rhythms of
A Sacred Wise Womyn.

A Sacred Wise Womyn
flows freely with
Grace,
Power,
Strength,
Wisdom,
Creativity,
Beauty,
Love,
Kindness,
Peace.

And then,
when the time is right,
the rhythms of your body, spirit, and light
will become One
with the rhythms of the earth.

And someday
join with the Greatest Rhythm,
the Greatest Spirit,
and the Greatest Light,
from which
we all
Come.

And keep Flowing
in Rhythm
on
and
On.

    About

Musings on engaging in yoga and yoga-esque perspectives and activities while in the midst of daily living. I still very much consider myself a beginner and hope I am not too presumptuous in offering my thoughts. If you ever feel to respond or share, I will be so glad to witness your sharing.

My quest is to Nurture Divinity. My own divinity, my children’s divinity, the divinity of those around me, and of my environment. I hope that these little blips will add to your own journey to uncover and embody your divinity.
